But this year, with Gaga absent and only Nicki Minaj's Spiderman catsuit left to hold down the fort of questionable sartorial choices, the red carpet started to show its chic side. Some stars went for sleek, monochromatic tailored suits, while others played with mixed prints and graphic colors, or paired embellished textures with simple silhouettes.
