APC Makes Clothes for Sexy German Nannies
The Scene: APC's light-filled studio near Paris' Luxembourg Gardens, where founder Jean Touitou walked a small group of buyers and editors through the Spring 2013 women's collection.
The Look: The presentation featured four vignettes, but all of them felt very Seventies Charlie girl—bouncy curls, red lip—done APC-style. Our favorite had to be the "sexy german nanny" looks, including a button-up shirt and pleated skirt in a light blue check. "She does not mean to be sexy, but she is," said Touitou.
From designer Vanessa Seward's capsule, back for a second go-around, we were excited about the cotton jersey tops and dresses, done in a demure tulip print. "Vanessa likes expensive couture fabrics, so of course we used those as well," he said of the silk navy blouse with gold threading.
What We Want to Buy: Seward's one-shoulder navy dress with gold stripes and her super-high-waisted lightweight denim trousers. From the main collection, we want everything for the sexy nannies.
