Banana Republic's Anna Karenina Collection: The Full Lookbook

Banana Republic's upcoming Anna Karenina capsule is way less literal than the brand's Mad Men inspired stuff. As it should be: the corseted ball gowns of Tolstoy's time don't translate to 2012 quite well as those mid-century mod pencil skirts. But black lacy dresses, chandelier earrings and faux fur accents? Yeah, they do.

Like the rest of the capsule, they're all perfectly in step with the Anna Karenina's luxe, romantic wardrobes and fall's baroque trend. Just not militantly so: this stuff would look great at holiday party, not a Halloween party. It's equal parts 19th-century Russian aristocracy and Soviet Bond girl—refined, but also a little badass.

Plus, with flattering fit-and-flare silhouettes and feminine lace detailing, each piece would look great on anyone—not just Keira Knightley—and with prices between $50 and $500, you don't need her salary to afford a piece or two. Click through below to see the full collection, which hits stores and BananaRepublic.com next Tuesday, October 30.
