Lookbook Love: Thom Dolan
Like Boy by Band of Outsiders, womenswear line Thom Dolan weaves menswear into many of its pieces. Boxy tweed jackets, crisp plaid button-downs, pleated flannel trousers: all the Katherine Hepburn-esque staples are there.
But there's another fabric to the two-year-old line, and it's more youthful and feminine. Like what I imagine Audrey Tatou wearing if she studied at the Sorbonne (baby blue button-back sweaters, pleated floral skirts, child-like jumpers to toss over turtlenecks).
When those two ideas fuse together, they make Thom Dolan's signature aesthetic. It's a blend of classic British menswear and the archetypal French gamine—a bit A.P.C., a bit Carven, yet different than either. Naturally, we love it.
