How to Sparkle This Holiday Season Without Overdoing It

During the early 2000s, Bath & Body Works had a tween line called "Art Stuff." It included blueberry-scented roll-on glitter, and each morning before middle school, I would swipe it all over my face. This is not an exaggeration. Glitter was, and still is, my favorite color.

Though I've long retired the fairy princess look, I still find subtle ways to incorporate sparkle into my daily life, especially during the holiday season. A bit of shimmery gloss, glitter-flecked pigment or a sparkly nail polish do the trick.

Pigments are great because they're formulated to be used anywhere on your face: eyes, lips, cheeks, wherever. Just layer them with matte colors for a more subtle approach.
