Emma Cook x Topshop: Holiday Stuff You'll Want to Use All Winter
There are so many things I love about Emma Cook's new holiday collection for Topshop. For starters, there's the spritely woodland theme. With twinkle light motifs and forest creatures that could have starred in Disney's Snow White, every piece looks like it was lifted from a fairy tale. Texture, too, is a major draw—there's opalescent wrapping paper prints, furry tree ornaments and sumptuously soft knits.
My most favorite part though, is that the line is festive in such a subtle way. Instead of Santa hat red or conifer green, the designer makes smart use of mint and salmon; rather than elves and snowmen, she cleverly opts for pastel stars and downy-feathered birds. Which means that every piece I buy now won't just work for the next few weeks, but the entire winter. (Or until I get sick of wearing a raccoon head sweater. Which, bt dubs, will be NEVER.)
