Margie Plus: The Skater Skirt

Oh, how I love myself a skater skirt! They're a closet staple of mine right now—namely because they're comfortable, have the perfect amount of stretch, come in awesome colors and are super-flattering. These babies won’t break the bank and are showing up in all of my favorite plus size stores. Like most trends I write about, skater skirts can be dressed up or down. For a casual look, pair yours with a classic pair of Converse or printed ballet flats and a scruffy rocker tee. For a night on the town, wear your favorite skater skirt with a metallic or lace blouse and booties. Tip: To make your look a little more funky, pair a skater skirt with a colored pair of tights, like I did here.
