Gwyneth Paltrow and Tracy Anderson Are Opening a Blowout Bar

Tracy Anderson is giving the members of her new Brentwood, California gym a little extra motivation to show up. According to, the trainer—along with her client, investor and very good friend, Gwyneth Paltrow—is opening a blowout bar within the location.

Staffed by celebrity hairstylist David Babaii and his team of experts, the salon will offer several blowout varieties, along with a number of braid and updo options. So conceivably, a lady could go in for a grueling workout on a Friday afternoon, shower and then have her hair professionally styled for an evening out—no pit stops at home needed. Or, she would be able to crunch in a class before work without having to worry about resulting wet-head at an 8 am meeting. With convenience like that, it's easy to stay on track, which was exactly Anderson's intention.

"As our members transform themselves into the women and men they want to be, the David Babaii team will design a hairstyle customized for their face shape and lifestyle, as well as a product regime of what to use to keep them looking their best while on the go," the fitness guru told the website.

Excited as we are to report a Gwyneth-backed (and clearly GOOP-approved) blow-dry bar, it's impossible not to draw comparisons to Rachel Zoe's very similar DreamDry in NYC, which just opened this year. There's no way of knowing whose idea came first, and we don't really care, since one can never have too many blowout options. The bigger question at hand is whether celebrity-owned hair salons are the next big thing. And, if so, who would you like to see get in on the trend next?
