The necessities: Chanel-like tweed jackets, ballet flats, breton stripes

"Boho," "rocker" and "preppy" are fine—just don't ask us to define ourselves by them, like on shopping sites trying to recommend products based on our personal style. ("Are You Glamorous? Classic?", they ask, ever so tauntingly, in pop-up quizzes.)

We don't know which one to identify with, let alone which one to click, and we're not sure most of our friends would either. Most of those style descriptions have gotten so familiar that they feel staid, or at least too vague. Today's style archetypes are something more specific, it seems—like these ones in the slideshow below. Which one are you?
