Shop the Opening Ceremony x Spring Breakers Collab

Beyond the moody Pamela Love jewelry, tomboy-ish Rachel Comey brogues and très-high-fashion Mary Katrantzou dresses, Opening Ceremony stocks some funnier fare, too. Like sweatpants with handprints on the crotch. Owners (and Kenzo creative directors) Humberto Leon and Carol Lim like a bit of kitsch with their fashion, whether it's a lewd design or a slogan that makes you smile and blush at the same time.

So when I heard they were teaming up with Spring Breakers on a capsule collection, I expected them to embrace the flick's whole crassness-and-neon theme wholeheartedly. Sure, there are the requisite mesh tank tops and Day-Glo, screen-printed t-shirts that look straight out of a boardwalk tourist trap—but the collection, which launches today, has so much more to offer than that.

Take the bikinis, for example. I'd see all of them fitting in at a country club pool, not just a Cancun day rave. They're not overly frilly and Oscar de la Renta-refined or anything, but they're bright, simply cut, and kinda cool—a dash of kitsch rather than an overdose.
