Over the weekend Kate Bosworth got married to her longtime boyfriend Michael Polish at a ranch in Montana. Like the setting, the event was reportedly wonderfully rustic and charming, complete with a horse-drawn carriage and antique-looking parasols.

Kate's dress, on the other hand, was a more sleek thing, in keeping with her crisp, minimalist style as of late. Custom designed by Oscar de la Renta, the dress nixed complicated beading, frilly lace and splashy color choices in favor of a clean, timeless aesthetic instead. It's pretty much the definition of Kate wearing the dress instead of it wearing her, as the adage goes, except for one little detail: an eight-foot train at Kate's feet which added some glamour without overwhelming the beautiful simplicity of the dress.
