What has made for a number of gorgeous, snow-filled Instagrams across the country has also caused thousands of travel delays and massive power outages. Despite Karl Lagerfeld's all-encompassing authority, that also unfortunately includes tomorrow's Chanel Metier d'Arts show in Dallas.

WWD reports that the most recent winter storm to wreak relentless havoc on the Northeast, Midwest and even North Texas has delayed important preparations for the design house's annual affair. Over the weekend, several members of the Kaiser's entourage were forced to evacuate their hotel due to an electrical fire, while the high temperature dipped to a 23-year record low 26 degrees.

The Lone Star State is playing host to the Metier d'Arts show as a sort of homage to Chanel's early supporter and Dallas-located retailer, Neiman Marcus. But you know the saying: the show must go on—especially when Mr. Lagerfeld is involved.
