We asked singer-songwriter Diane Birch to document the best looks at this weekend's festival.

It was pretty easy to spot the top trends at Bonnaroo this year: bikini tops, hydration backpacks, and almost any style of boots able to survive the dual threats of severe heat and rain, which led to good ol' festival mud. I quickly realized that much like music and drinking, these items are always popular.

The quiet French town of Hyeres doesn't get much recognition here in the States, but in the world of European fashion, it's famous. Every May for the last twenty-six years, creatives in fashion and photography gather at a landmark cubist villa built in the 1920s by Mallet-Stevens for what is officially known as the Hyeres Festival. It's a three-day event that's become an international launching pad for young designers: they present their first collections, and a panel of rotating judges like Karl Lagerfeld, Azzedine Alaia, John Galliano, and Anna Sui decide the festival winner. But unlike the frenzied schedule of say, New York Fashion Week, the festival is also a bit of a relaxed getaway for those just there to check out the scene--lots of lounging and sunning.

I saw the best style of the weekend on the last day of Coachella. The top two trends that emerged among this musical bunch were boho and music nymph, and the essential accessory appeared to be a big floppy sunhat. I loved Florence and The Machine's look--gold leather high-waist shorts with a flowing cream sheer dress that was reminiscent of Stevie Nicks. And Charlotte Gainsbourg looked chic and very French, of course, in fitted patchwork pants, a white tank, and a black scarf. Day two was so much better than day one. I took in incredible bands like Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros (aka the Magic Markers...get it?), Hot Chip, and Muse; and even more fashionable girls. This year Coachella is sold out for the first time in three years and it is PACKED. So far the notable notable performances have been by La Rou, Passion Pit and LCD Sound System.Thankfully, the weather isn't too hot and the girls are dressing cute!
