Prabal Gurung Creates a Capsule Collection for J.Crew

Two of our favorite style sources have joined forces and we couldn't be more thrilled. Prabal Gurung, the young New York-based designer responsible for the red confections seen on First Lady Michelle Obama and actress Zoe Saldana, has created a capsule collection for beloved mass retailer J.Crew.

The collection is edited tightly--it's a mere seven pieces and the production quantities are small, so you know what that means--run, don't walk, to your nearest computer and get ordering. Our fave? The exploding bow dress in emerald green. It is simply the PERFECT shift dress with that unexpected bit of quirk--a large silk bow at the neck that is signature Gurung, at a more gentle J.Crew price-point. Perfect with a strappy sandal for summer, and tights and a blazer for fall. Color us happy. Check out our interview with the super-chic head of women's design, Marissa Webb!

One to Watch: Florence Welch

Florence Welch's offstage talent? The girl can dress! Love a rock star who happens to have great style, too. Florence was spotted sporting some super-glam vintage gear on the way to the set of the Late Show with David Letterman. (In case you missed it, her band, Florence and the Machine, performed there the other night.)She looks so cool in a two-toned motorcycle jacket, floral vest and a red Stevie Nicks-style hat--an eclectic look that's not easy to pull off. I'll be style-stalking Florence Welch to see what she turns up in next.
