After two weeks of bouncing around and
living out of a suitcase, I'm thrilled to be back in New York and have little desire to leave my apartment. With my new nesting mode in full effect, I've already made a long to-do list of household improvements. Maybe it's all the fluffy white hotel towels I've been treated to recently, but this morning I noticed it's time to start phasing out the older, less pristine ones I've got in my bathroom. I love the texture of
these pique versions I just spotted on DKNY Home's just-launched shopping site, and the stripes add a nice bit of embellishment but still look really classic. Check out the bedding selection too—the patterns are also chic and subtle, and I have a set of
their sheets and can vouch for the crisp-yet-soft goodness of the cotton.

You wouldn't guess judging from the name—which sounds way more like an animal superhero from a kid's storybook than a really stylish, Upper East Side boutique—but the specialty at
Roberta Roller Rabbit is resort-y, exotic imports from around the world. And despite the total chicness of her inventory, the prices are actually reasonable. I don't get to the store nearly enough, only because it's a good 70 blocks away from my apartment and I'm lazy, so I was thrilled to hear that they just took their goods online at
robertarollerrabbit.com. There's a huge supply of lightweight cotton voile tunics ($70) that come in a range of gorgeous prints—these would be especially great for travel, given that they pack well, go with basically anything, and can be easily dressed up (dangly gold earrings and slim white pants) or down (over a bikini and denim cutoffs). I especially dig it in
this slightly mod red and white pattern with contrasting trim.

West Hollywood boutique
Beckley just launched an online counterpart, and there's lots of good stuff in the mix. Though I can't actually wear them (
still haven't gotten around to getting my ears pierced), I'm loving
these turquoise earrings framed with delicately wrought gold. It's such a pretty color combination, and these look a lot more refined than their $58 price.

I'm also intrigued by
Kova & T's stretchy maxi dress—I've never tried this silhouette before, but it could be a great, year-round layering piece to pair with flip-flops in the summer and boots and lots of cashmere in the winter. I'm also envious of this mannequin's outfit:
Hari's classic striped sailor top and
high-waist wide leg jeans by Made In Heaven are right up my alley.
Totokaelo.com was, until now, so exclusive that they required a password to shop there.

They just made their inventory public, and there's a ton
on the site that I'd love to add to my closet. The vibe is fashiony but understated, as exemplified by
this simple canvas tote by You Must Create. It's elegantly spare, and the gold hardware and dark leather trim give it a luxe, equestrian feel. Also on my wish list:
this stretchy striped APC belt (I,
like Cat, have actually and weirdly never worn a belt, but this seems like a really effortless way to transform a t-shirt dress). There's

still a benefit to registering at the site, though, since you get first dibs on sales and special discounts. I just got an email with
a link to an otherwise-not-publicized range of Isabel Marant pieces (they're one of the few to showcase the label online, along with
Creatures of Comfort) that are now being offered at 30 percent off. I'm dying for
the knee-length black lace skirt and
this pretty, creamy-hued tank.
