Rumi's shoes: Sourced!

So I was scrolling through my twitter feed (if you have an account, you can follow us @luckymagazine for constant sale updates, or me at @eloehnen), and saw that Rumi Neely, the blogger I featured in my September Web Pages section (p. 98)—she writes FashionToast, which is an awesome daily read—is fielding lots of queries about the shoes she's wearing in the photo (@rumineely). This is funny, because I was wondering the same thing. They're the Alamin sandal, they're by Aldo, and they're $100! Meanwhile, Rumi, who first got her start selling vintage pieces on eBay, has a sale site that's a companion to FashionToast, right here, where she sells off the pieces that she wears on her blog.

How to Style the Pencil Miniskirt

So I've been thinking about Emily's question from yesterday all morning (How old is too old to work a mini?), and I don't really think it's a question of age—it's more of a question of comfort. Pencil mini skirts are a huge trend this fall, and while test-driving it definitely isn't a requirement, there are lots of ways to style it so that the skirt doesn't feel so precipitously revealing.
