Her Way: Olivia Wilde

Olivia Wilde's alter ego—at least when it comes to fashion—is French: "I find myself constantly pretending I'm a chic Parisian," says the L.A.-based actress. "I even dream of buying a Balmain jacket with really sharp shoulders. If I can pull off that look, I will have succeeded, at least partially, in my quest." Here, the 25-year-old divulges some of her favorites—pieces that are easygoing, sophisticated, and of course, très belles.

"A cool leather jacket is my security blanket. No matter what I have on underneath, I feel more like myself when I'm wearing one."

"Coats from H&M are inexpensive and usually have something extra going on—so even with a simple sheath dress, your outfit is still interesting."

"This is the best body scrub I've ever used. It's made in Malibu with completely organic ingredients."

"I'm always looking for jewelry that combines metals and organic-feeling charms or stones."

"When I'm getting dressed, I often stop and think, 'What would Julie Christie wear?' Her style is fun and unpredictable."

"I love, love, love American Rag for everything from jeans to jackets to bags to shoes. I go there all the time."
file
"I have short legs, which makes it hard to find high boots that stop at a flattering spot. The ones from Rag & Bone are just tall enough for me."

"Jimmy Choo makes the perfect clutch—it holds a lot: credit card, phone, camera, everything."
file
"I own a lot of Helmut Lang. The pieces are practical in the sense that you can wear them every day, but they're not boring at all."

"Rick Owens gets that sleek-sexy balance just right."

"I don't leave the house without one of Josie Maran's Finger Paints palettes. They work on your eyes, lips, and cheeks—and they're all-natural!"

"I'm maniacal about my eyebrows. I've been trying to grow them in, so I have my brush with me and break it out right before I go anywhere."
