Why do you want to be the face of 5F?
I am 50 years old and loving it! I have a son at Parsons and have been exploring New York for the past three years while he has been in school. I am a midwestern girl at heart but am being wooed by the Big Apple. I went to the fall Mercedes-Benz fashion week with my son and my world changed! I am a runway junkie! I don't live in designer clothes, but when I do buy them I buy smart. My mother-in-law was a model in the 1940s and came from a very poor Italian family and had to model because it was the only work she could get. She taught me it is better to own one well-made garment than a closet full of poorly made clothes. Usually I wear jeans, a T-shirt, a blazer and boots. She taught me how to wear a pair of Levi's with a Chanel jacket, how to walk in well-made Italian stilettos. Because of her I now buy quality, see age as only a number, understand that style is a mind-set (my mind-set). I set my own trends, walk my own runway every day, and I want my son to learn from me what I learned from her. You don't have to be rich to have style, style comes from within. I want to be the face of 5F because Bergdorf embodies all the individuality of how I see myself: Your store has something for everyone's personal style. I want my son to say that "my Mom is the Face of 5F" and be proud of his mama. Thanks for considering me!

I am a fan of the designers represented under 5F; I have pieces from those designers that are very much integrated in my everyday wardrobe. Also, I've always been told that I should try some modeling, but I have never known which avenue to take to break into that industry. I think being the face of 5F would be a great start and I'm also appreciative of the fact that 5F is interested in a diverse group of people and not those who have the stereotypical model features.

As an actress and a performer, I understand that clothes can help shape an attitude, a personality, a situation, a circumstance, a memory, a life! I think life is too short not to have fun with clothes and to let them help you be who you want to be. Wearing clothes you feel confident in make YOU more confident! And I think the world would be a much happier place if everyone strutted the streets with a bit more confidence. And that can start with the right pair of heels, a perfectly tailored suit, a vintage dress or anything that makes you feel your best :)

Honestly, I'm entering just for the fun of it. I dabbled in modeling here and there in the past. I did some showroom work for Diesel a few years ago. Then I was a part of an ad campaign for my church (WCC-NY) a few years back in 2005. My ads were all over New York City on subway platforms, including that popular tunnel on 14th Street that connects the 1, 2, 3 train to the L train. The ads were pretty huge: I would randomly get calls from people who came across the ads. It was a dope experience. This would be a cool adventure to work with Bergdorf in this capacity. I love the store, so why not?

I want to show the world that beauty comes in many different forms. I am a very "natural" model yet I have half of my head shaved. I love destroying stereotypes. Despite my shaved head, I am very, very girly. I love sports and Hello Kitty. People also do not realize I can part my hair differently and become a "normal" looking girl with a full head of hair. I am currently a working model who fails to get paid. Becoming the face of 5F would open so many doors for me and hopefully be a launching pad for my modeling career.

I think it would be amazing to be the face of 5F because Asian women are generally never picked to be the main face of a campaign. It would be nice to be able to have someone up there that is not the "normal" pick to show the world that anybody can win. Also, I think people are so jaded to what is "stylish" and "beautiful" by celebrities, that I feel I could truly break the shell on showing that you should just rock ANYTHING that makes you feel the most confident. One moment I want to be girly in full skirts and platforms and the next I want to be rocker in a vintage tee, a blazer and leather leggings.
