In May’s Editor’s Letter, Lucky’s editor-in-chief Eva Chen reflects on the fast-paced circuit of fashion weeks in NYC, London, Paris and Milan.

“I feel enormously grateful to be part of the madcap, surreal and generally ridiculously beautiful experience of fashion week," she says. “But the realities of the fashion scene are more, well, real to me now…The gorgeous outfits that your style inspirations sport? Borrowed for a day (or a few hours). The skyscraper heels that seem architecturally improbable? Only possible thanks to Uber.”

Eva put her own twist on borrowed couture by mixing designer pieces with some of her favorite everyday ones, like a no-name neon yellow sweatshirt, a vintage newsboy cap or a cropped fur sweater from Topshop.
