Though the brand has its roots in equestrian harnesses and bridles, it was a smaller four-legged friend that inspired the Hermès Medor watch. Created in 1993, the studded design was based on one of the brand’s vintage dog collars. From those humble beginnings, the watch, which comes in black, brown and orange and has a hidden dial, has become the go-to accessory for style stars like Rachel Bilson, Sofia Coppola and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. “There’s just no better mix of classic and cool,” says Lucky accessories editor Melissa Lum. “And depending on the color you wear, it can give your look a punky, prep-school or ladylike vibe—it works with every style.” Fashionable and Fido-friendly—how can anyone resist?
