Alexa Chung Takes Us Shopping: A Lucky Exclusive

Trolling the aisles.

"I haven't been shopping in ages!" Alexa Chung proclaimed as she slipped on a pair of leather shorts at The Reformation, a Lower East Side boutique starring lots of reworked vintage.

Chung doesn't use a stylist. "Not ever." So it was fitting that during little our shopping trip around Manhattan's Lower East Side, the model-turned-presenter-turned-fashion designer-turned-host of Lifetime's competition series 24 Hour Catwalk not only chose a gazillion pieces that perfectly matched her boy/girl aesthetic, she also styled her shopping companion, makeup artist and friend Tamah K.

From a swingy fringe dress to a satin wrap top, we think any of Chung's picks of the day could potentially be rotated into her wardrobe for that new series. (It debuted in January and features aspiring designers, who are challenged to create a ready-to-wear look in 24 hours.) "I moved to America four days before the show started," Chung explained as she flicked through the racks. "So I wear lots of what I already had..and I work with Chanel, so I wear some of that."

Click through to go shopping with the indie style star and get your hands on some of her favorite pieces of the day.
