First stop: Heist.
Maguire chooses a vibrant pink fringed scarf by Isabel Marant that cleverly doubles as a beach sarong. "I love the pink. Of course, it's by Isabel Marant. There's pretty much nothing I don't like from Isabel Marant," she says.
"Heist stocks the best designers and consistently has amazing pieces," she says, while holding up a berry-hued Frank + Eileen button-down blouse.
"I'd put this on with heels, or over a bathing suit with flip flops."
Next up: Undiscovered.
Taking a breather at Undiscovered, Heist's sister store next door, Maguire checks out the selection of giftables and lingerie. Her favorite item is a candle by Paris' Hotel Costes.
Maguire snaps away with a Marc Newson-designed Pentax digital camera, discovered at A&R. "I'll take this with me on my upcoming trip to Israel."
"Everyone in my office uses these Pop phones. This gold color is new, and it makes me feel like I am blinged out."
Strolling down Abbot Kinney with Lucky's West Coast Bureau Chief Marlien Rentmeester. In similar army jackets, no less.
And finally—MS Vintage.
At MS Vintage, a law office-cum-vintage store, past-decade offerings fill every nook and corner, including the bathroom, where Maguire, without hesitation, rifles through the racks.
"I love how everything here has a story to tell," she says of the goods. Most of the stock is sourced from estate sales and vintage fairs in London and Paris.
"I am huge vintage shopper," Maguire admits.
Happy with her finds and having worked up an appetite from shopping, Maguire makes a beeline for Gjelina, Abbot Kinney's most buzzed-about restaurant, where she fuels up on a mushroom truffle pizza. "I just love Abbot Kinney, whether it's to shop alone or to have a good meal with my husband."
