Shop Scottish Styles Inspired by Chanel's Métiers d'Art Collection

Chanel's annual Métiers d'Art show—basically the house's own fancy term for "pre-fall"—walked last night in Edinburgh, Scotland. Held at Linlithgow Palace, the historic birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots, it was a Scottish affair through and through. As for the clothes, they were perhaps the comfiest and coziest-looking offerings we've seen from Karl Lagerfeld in ages. Think layers upon layers of argyle, tweed and tartan, along with the occasional Fair Isle knit or Edwardian ruff.

In keeping with the traditional kilt, hemlines were long and pleats popped up everywhere. And just when it seemed like the audience had had enough plaid, out popped Karl's adorable four-year-old godson Hudson Kroenig—on the arm of Brad, his male model dad. Kids in kilts: they never get old.
