How To Make Summer Statement Pieces Work On City Sidewalks

Summer is upon us, and we've teamed up with Rent the Runway’s stylists extraordinaire to celebrate flavorful colors in style as inspired by DASANI DROPS™. Meet stylist Blaire as she shares her style inspirations and fun, lively looks for painting the town red (and pink and yellow…)

When it comes to basics, most stylists recommend a good pair of jeans, a pair of classic black pants, a white collared shirt and a basic pair of pumps. My closet, on the other hand, houses endless amounts of bright colors, sequins, 6-inch (or higher!) heels and fur and vintage pieces. I like to think that if Rachel Zoe and I were to combine closets, the fashion Gods would come down from the heavens and shake our hands. As Rachel would say: “So maj!” This summer, I'm all about a tropical flare, with prints that scream to be taken to the beach (or better yet, a Hamptons soiree). I'm especially loving the "Ticket to Maui" Proenza Schouler dress in my collection: it's so fun and eclectic; keep the rest of your look simple with one statement piece and your hair pulled back, and you'll never go over the top.
