It is 1,000 degrees here in New York City. The Lucky offices are wildly polarized on the subject of deodorant, agreeing only on the sad fact that the organic ones, while lovely, are so fleeting in their effects as to not really count as deodorant. My hippie leanings are what they are, however. So I end up spritzing myself with Bobbi Brown Bath perfume every afternoon at about 2:30. Or whenever I have a big meeting.

Guess I won't be going organic, then! Think I'll stick with my Secret Clinical Strength. It won't let me down, even when the humidity makes me feel like a limp disrag the minute I walk out the door!
I know it sounds crazy, but I've found that a little baking soda works better than any deodorant I've ever tried.
Hey I always loving reading your section in the magazine, your stories I always remember. Anyways try J/A/S/?/ pure, natural and organic. I have have been very happy with it. Best organic deordorant out there.
Haha it didn't show, up it it J/A/S/O/N with a diarisis over O
I have to second the comment about the Jason deodorant. The lavender scent is particularly delicious. The bad news: I have to occasionally reapply in order to keep myself (and those around me) in a happy place. The good news: the scent is so great, I don't mind reapplying. Also, it doesn't bleach my shirts, like a lot of the more toxic deodorants seem to. I no longer get lumps under my arms, either. I used to get them when I used the same deodorant for more than a couple of months. That was part of what convinced me that my body was not happy with the icky chemicals that were stopping my sweat. Not being offensively stinky is good, but tender underarms are not. Bottom line: try the Jason lavender deodorant. You won't be sorry, and neither will the people in your vicinity!
