On the hunt for... Sonia Rykiel
I am basically insanely in love with every single item that Parisian designer Sonia Rykiel has ever made. Her stuff is just unbelievably feminine and offbeat and cool—the kind of pieces you'd see on a cute girl at a party and immediately hate her a little for not only being cute but for wearing something amazingly well-fitting and original. Today I found this so-charming-I-want-to-die heart-stamped pullover, a sexy pencil skirt with excellent buttons, and this kind-of-weird-but-I-still-think-it's-good orangey-red polka-dot dress. And last week, I won this pretty, ruffled black-and-white piece. It's supposed to arrive tomorrow. I can't wait.

I never heard of that designer, but her stuff is pretty amazing. This was a really fun post.
Bad eBay seller for not disclosing that this sweater's tag says Sonia Rykiel For Sutton Studio. ie Bloomingdales house label. I bought it at Bloomies for around $150 IIRC in Fall/Winter 2006.
