Toweling Up
I've been fixated on vintage tea towels for a while now. Each one is such a fun design time capsule, they're built to last, and they're one of those rare household items that you can find in flea markets all over the world. Plus they're obviously useful, so collecting them won't just, ahem, add to the household junk.
There are currently hundreds of tea towels on eBay, so many that you'll really have to search through the cheese to find the gems. Right now, I'm loving both of these '60s drink-themed styles. The bright Luther Travis version is printed with retro-cocktail recipes like Rob Roy and Gibson, and this black one by Tammi Keefe has the most adorable swirly wine bottle illustrations. Both feel funky and of-the-past glamorous, like something Goldie Hawn would've used when entertaining Walter Matthau in 1969's Cactus Flower.

I love vintage & vintage tea towels! What a great blog!
