Sprucing up My Bathroom on eBay
Whenever I visit my suburban friends' houses I am always struck by what it must be like to live in a real home, with a real kitchen, bedrooms, CLOSETS, a backyard, etc. to infinity.
But I am most envious by far of their gorgeous,
natural-light-filled, spa-like bathrooms. My living situation has definitely improved in the eight years I've lived in New York (there was a time when I had not so much a shower stall, but a booth where I was unable to comfortably turn my body all the way around. Man, that was a stubbly leg year), and my apartment's bathroom, while still mini, is at least new-ish and not a mold death trap. But the situation could aesthetically be improved. Though you wouldn't necessarily think of vintage bathroom accessories as a good idea, the ones I found today are all incredibly clean-looking and cool and will really brighten up my little space. I love the poppy design of this blue-and-green shower curtain, these shower rings, and this mirrored '70s cabinet will not only add a splash of color, but also some much (much) needed extra storage.

i share your feelings.
i recently re-did my bath with mostly ebay finds and i'm so pleased with the result. go for it!
My bathroom is the size of a very tiny closet (this is no exaggeration). I dream of the space for fun colors and big patterns.
