Vanessa Bruno always makes the most perfect, easy pieces: When you throw them on, people go crazy for them, and then you can play it cool and say,"Oh, this old thing? Why, thank you." Her fall 2008 collection was no exception—she had a '70s feel with loop-knit sleeve detail on coats, shredded and fringed dresses and blouses, slouchy shorts and overall, just great proportions.
The neutral colors mixed with moss greens and pale pinks kept it from being too austere. I loved the way she threw cropped jackets over longer ones—just so cool.
Do I have to wait until next winter? I would really prefer to wear it now.
