It would be unfair not to show my amazing picture of the finale at Louis Vuitton. It was certainly a departure from his spring collection—it was mixed, structured, and had a very neutral color palette, with some ice blue and pale ochre mixed in. Sweaters were tucked into roomy pants, and jackets with full peplums were belted to accentuate the waist. I couldn't stop thinking about Thierry Mugler and late-'80s backup dancers, not to mention how very important gray tights will become in October 2008 …

Vanessa Bruno always makes the most perfect, easy pieces: When you throw them on, people go crazy for them, and then you can play it cool and say,"Oh, this old thing? Why, thank you." Her fall 2008 collection was no exception—she had a '70s feel with loop-knit sleeve detail on coats, shredded and fringed dresses and blouses, slouchy shorts and overall, just great proportions. The neutral colors mixed with moss greens and pale pinks kept it from being too austere. I loved the way she threw cropped jackets over longer ones—just so cool. Do I have to wait until next winter? I would really prefer to wear it now.

Giambattista Valli collaborated with the skiwear line Moncler for the Gamme Rouge collection, which means I'm able to be warm and stylish now! Puffers can get really sculptural and to articulate this point, he chose the Musée Bourdelle—a sculpture museum near St. Germain—to exhibit them.

Stella McCartney's collection had everything you'd want for next winter—cropped pea coats with exaggerated collars that were offset by body-conscious pants and flowy silk drop-sleeve dresses in an antiqued damask pattern. My absolute favorite from the show was a soft, plush knit coat that belted at the waist.

Chanel's show had a huge carousel in the center that actually started turning, then filled up with models, then turned faster … and then out came Karl!

Cool Paris girls are currently bundled up in fur coats and vests reminiscent of Jane Birkin in the '70s—unfussy and simple, worn with peasant blouses and high-waisted wide-leg jeans. Barbara Bui tapped into that exact look in her fall collection with a series of brilliant fur pieces.

Sonia Rykiel's show is always the most fun—lots of color, smiling models, great music. Rainbow loop chunky knits were my favorite; it's just not fall without a chunky knit.

We all agree: The Isabel Marant show is one of the events the Lucky team looks forward to most. She always sends clothes out on the runway that girls want to wear right this very second—Laurie Trott's theory is that Marant is a little bit psychic. And this season was no exception: cool shearling-trimmed jackets, slouchy trousers, comfy-looking buffalo plaid dresses, and gingham tops. I wish it all were in the shops this week and not next fall!
