Indie Fashion Online
Still relatively new to the Web (they made their first Lucky appearance in our February issue) style-scene.com, a site that's dedicated exclusively to young, independent designers, just keeps getting better and better. It's packed with sophisticated, beautifully detailed pieces that are utterly versatile too. We're especially taken with this diaphanous silk and lace Dolman top by H Fredriksson—great with a sleek pencil skirt or dark denim. Adding to the appeal, prices are refreshingly reasonable—nearly everything, even the fanciest items, is less than $300.

What is up with the fashion designers for this magazine? It seems that everything is put together to look frumpy and bulky. Whats up with all the balloon/blouson clothes and peasant tops? Are all your designers pregnant or fat? Or are they old and reliving the styles of the 1940's. This magazine has such weird clothing combinations that I will not renew my subscription in the future. The styles that you show are not flattering and I don't see people wearing these things in my area (Southern CA). Good luck in the "Lucky" subscriptions -- you may be on your way out!
yes, you californians are the epitome of style. you're so right. lucky ought to feature more tube tops and juicy sweatpants.
Hi there-
Great website pick! How do your editors select the sites that are featured on your blog/publication? It seems like you feature the same websites on a regular basis. I would like to see some newer and up & coming sites that feature great pieces that are different and specialize in non-trendy styles such as
junkinourtrunk.com
missmisa.com
joiastylestudio.com
nopalapparel.com
urbanbloomnyc.com
I think maybe featuring some different sites (that sites that are Lucky advertising sponsors) would be a great treat for your readers (I am a loyal fan and long-time subscriber of Lucky!!)
