Oxfords—Not Just for the Über-Preppy
On her daily commute, executive editor Meredith Kahn Rollins began noticing an abundance of cute downtown-y girls riding the subway in equally cute, ever-so-rumpled shrunken oxfords. Though Meredith is too large with child for shrunken anything to make sense right now, she's just obsessive enough to have felt the need to track down the perfect one anyway. She found it at Steven Alan, master of the cool button-down. Right now he's doing a particularly cool pin-tucked, three-quarter-length-sleeved version. It's a great thing to wear on weekends with a denim skirt, and works just as well for the office with a black cotton suit.
