The Perfect Red
Associate beauty editor Dawn Spinner has been obsessing over the idea of short, short nails with bright red polish. "It's as much '40s glam as it is '80s punk," she says, "and anyone can pull it off." She experimented with a slew of different shades before settling on her favorite: Bloody Mary by Nailtini. It's a true red—not too blue, not too orange—that looks great on every skin tone. Plus, the polish is really strong: Dawn's gone a full week with it on since her last manicure, without so much as a chip.
