From Crunchy to Cool
After avoiding them my entire life—I can't believe I'm even going to admit this—I want Birkenstocks. As much as I love the idea of owning shoes that are truly, insanely, walk-on-air comfortable, their crunchy connotations were always too much for me to bear. But Phillip Lim's collection of reimagined Birks just hit stores, and now I'm firmly on the bandwagon. With a bit of fringe, skinny straps, and black patent leather, this hippie staple has gotten a downright glamorous makeover.

thats so weird! I was just thinking about Birkenstocks yesterday and how they are slowly simmering towards becoming trendy...they do have a bit of a granola connotation but i think they will be quite hot for spring!
