Spring Fever

Picture_1

I have high hopes that any day now the temperature is going to spike upward so I can finally retire the big black down-filled parka I've been living in these last few months. Trolling through J.Crew's site just now I found exactly the thing I'd like to replace it with for spring. This knit sweater coat is so Mia Farrow in Rosemary's Baby adorable. The bright yellow and white sailor stripes feel fresh, and the Peter Pan collar, oversize buttons, and three-quarter-length sleeves give it a mod twist. I love what the model in the photo has going on; there are a lot of different styles and colors converging in one outfit, and yet it totally works.

I usually find J Crew a bit preppy for my taste but now that you showed me this cute sweater coat I am totally going to check it out. You always have great recs! Love your style!

Yes, I agree that J Crew is often too preppy, but love this sweater coat! The brights for spring are so refreshing. This coat would work perfectly with a belted tunic and dark skinny jeans... maybe also paired with the woven emerald green Gryson for Target bag that's hitting stores soon. It would also be great over a casual dress, for that matter. Casual AND versatile is a great combo!
