Lindsay Lou
This charming shop blends dressed-up, girly wares with Scottsdale's more relaxed, Western aesthetic.

In 2005, when she was planning her store, Lindsay Ebbert came across a magazine clipping she'd saved featuring a girl in a flouncy cocktail dress surrounded by dozens of cowboy boots. "I loved the combination of super-feminine party attire with something so rustic—it's an idea that still influences me." So Ebbert has packed the space with a variety of ladylike staples—from dressier pieces by Ya-Ya and Alice + Olivia to everyday options from James Perse and Splendid—amidst a spectacular selection of vintage boots. Dark wood floors and vintage crinolines add to the warm, ranch-like decor, while downtown favorites like jackets by Mike & Chris and bangles by Jessica Kagan Cushman round out the mix. And she's planning to open a second, more indie-designer-focused location in October. 6107 N. Scottsdale Rd., 480-443-2522, lindsaylou.com
