C/Fan by Christina Fan

C/Fan by Christina Fan launched in 2008 with just winter coats and tees and has evolved to become a full collection of dresses and separates, with menswear-inspired details and tailoring in suede-like, sand-washed silks. "My designs are meant for ease, comfort, and effortless sensuality," Fan says.

Peloton

German-born Leah Fagan's line Peloton—code for a group of cyclists traveling as one—is an array of carefully crafted separates with functional details, like a hidden zipper pocket within a structured jacket. Fagan uses preshrunk organic cottons and washable merino wool to create wardrobe staples that are breathable, easy to wear, and adaptable to the outdoors.

"The strong emphasis on function and durability is a direct response to the way I live my life," says Fagan, whose love of the outdoors started when she was a child, swimming and hiking in the Alps.

Dottie's Delights

A love of vintage is the inspiration for Stephanie Kuhr's lingerie line, Dottie's Delights, which features steel boning, garter clips, and heavyweight satins, as well as dead-stock lace trim dating back to the Victorian era. "I found that the attention to detail and the support offered in mid-century foundation garments were so flattering to a woman's body," Kuhr says, "I wanted to bring elegance and prettiness back into shapewear."
