Denim Bars
A new wave of jeans counters is offering a huge selection of up-and-coming lines - in addition to our favorite, we'll-never-take-these-off standbys.

Constance Boutique
Two decades on, this Asheville landmark hasn't lost an ounce of its edge. A few years back it moved to a larger, more atmospheric space (with terrazzo floors, unbleached wool area rugs, and tribal furniture), which gave owner Constance Ensner the opportunity to bring in even more trend-making lines like M Missoni and Chie Mihara, as well as contemporary favorites like Vince and DVF.
Wink Heads & Threads
This spot is half hip salon, half equally fab shop, and it concentrates on cute, comfortable clothing (dresses are especially popular, specifically ones from Ella Moss and Max and Cleo) and sprinkles in fun odds and ends, like felt-covered notebooks with cartoony squirrels on the front and faux-jade carved bracelets.
Boogies
It's safe to say that this is probably the world's only combination diner/denim store. The ground level houses jeans by labels like People for Peace and 1921, while upstairs, shoppers enjoy burgers and jukebox tunes.
Gorsuch
Limited Luxe Tyrolean blazers, wall sconces mounted on antique snowshoes, and cowhide-upholstered wing chairs are just a sampling of what this retailer specializes in: over-the-top Black Forest chic.
Max
A successful spinoff of its chic Denver sister store, this minimalist Max offers the latest from names like Dries Van Noten and Missoni.
Pitkin County Dry Goods
Since 1969, Pitkin has been known as the go-to spot in Aspen for laid-back apres-ski essentials: jeans, cashmere sweaters, shearling jackets—and, during the winter, homemade fudge to snack on while you shop.
Roxy
You can always rely on this trio of stores to provide such ski-town staples as Michael Stars and C&C California tees and tanks—perfect for layering. Note that the Beaver Creek location has a more diverse selection.
The Skye
Smaller, high-concept designers like Imitation of Christ and Temperley are finally available in the Rockies, thanks to owner Skye Forrest's futuristic space. Also find Eugenia Kim hats, and cashmere sweaters from Paul & Joe and Matthew Williamson.
W Couture
Nowhere else in the Valley will you find as many pieces from emerging designers as there are here, like Circle by Mara Hoffman hand-dyed dresses or supersoft Pegah Anvarian cashmere wraps.
