What's in your beach bag?
"I like lots of reading material—a few fashion magazines and The Paris Review—along with La Roche-Posay sunscreen, Kiehl's SPF lip balm, and a big sun hat from Roberta Freymann. To throw on over my suit, I always pack either an Irving & Fine tunic or the Gregg tunic from my line. Right now I am crazy about instant film, so I also like to bring my Fuji Instax camera."
Where do you shop for bathing suits in L.A.?
"I really like American Apparel's brightly colored triangle bikinis. I have a ton in different colors."
What do you pack in your picnic basket?
"I like to pick up cold salads and sandwiches at Huckleberry in Santa Monica and Lemonade in Venice. I always bring Bambu Veneerware disposable plates and utensils [pictured], and the best picnic blankets are from Hudson's Bay."
Which beach do you like to go to?
"Third Point or Little Dume in Malibu."
Where do you buy your surf supplies?
"Becker in Malibu is where I stock up on rash guards and wet suits, as well as O'Neill booties, which protect my feet against the rocky-bottom beaches and provide extra warmth."
What's your post-beach routine?
"A long, warm bubble bath!"
