Greenhills, Hillsboro, and Belle Meade
Lucky's favorite stores in Nashville's Greenhills, Hillsboro, and Belle Meade!
Hud Luxe
Hud Hudson—whose mom, Jamie Stream, is the force behind celebrated Nashville boutique Jamie—launched this spot in early 2006. The store is dedicated to high-end tees and denim, plus glam jewelry and Western-influenced accessories.

Hemline
Established a decade ago in New Orleans, this chainlet's most alluring outpost is in Nashville, with double-height ceilings and dramatic black chandeliers. Look for affordable items with broad appeal, like Farylrobin knee-high boots and Freedom of Choice sailor-style jeans.

Habit
With its whitewashed floors and barn-like loft, Habit has a welcoming, countrified feel. It's brimming with everyday-wearable pieces rendered in luxe fabrics, such as Uluru cashmere tunics, ultra-soft jersey Lewis Cho dresses, and elaborately tailored Nicholas K fleece jackets.

Via Runway
Lined with gated estates and equestrian ranches, the Belle Meade area is the poshest in the city. It's also the site of Nashville's most oddly located retail experiment, an old department store turned edgy mall. Its standout attraction is Via Runway, a stellar resource for highly regarded labels like Ports 1961, ChloƩ, and Y & Kei, plus picks from Superfine and Ksubi.

The Perfect Pair
When it came to naming their enterprise, Casey Stribling and Whitney Dunn decided to reference both their longtime friendship and collective mission: offering on-trend footwear and bags adaptable to city or country. There's a mix of the traditional (Old Gringo cowboy boots) and the modern (Pedro Garcia satin flats, Costume National heels, Charlott Vasberg totes).

Bamboo
Affordable, trendy clothing labels favored by college students—Miss Sixty, Hard Tail, Habitual, and Parasuco among them—are found in abundance at this hyacinth-hued shop. Accessories receive equal billing: Local designer Suzanne Myers' gypsyish silver wire hoops, thickly stacked with onyx-black stones ($36) are a swift seller, along with the very Martha's Vineyard-style, lobster-painted Dr. Scholls by Kiss My Feet ($125).

The Cotton Mill Collection
This upscale boutique attracts everyone from debutantes to big-time musicians in search of pretty printed dresses and great accessories. There's no shortage of frocks to choose from this season—dresses are the biggest draw here. Some customer favorites include Milly, Shoshanna, and DVF.

Fire Finch
Homespun objects and accessories from around the globe are this home and garden boutique's specialty. Cracked-glass sushi place settings (starting at $2 for a soy sauce dish) arrive regularly from Japan, while majestic, glass stone-studded lanterns ($595) are shipped in from Morocco. The dangly sterling-silver Mexican earrings, which seem straight from a Frida Kahlo self-portrait, are perhaps one of the shop's best deals at $36 (we've seen similar versions for up to triple the price).

Jamie Inc.
A local fashion institution, this sprawling shop is where Nashville women go to splurge on Prada shoes, Kate Spade bags, Catherine Malandrino tops, and Creed perfume, along with items from Balenciaga and about 150 other designers. Jamie opened an on-site minispa called Skin, which offers facials and microdermabrasion.

Metropolitan Deluxe
This Southern home-goods chainlet caters to individuals looking to add the perfect vintage reproduction lamp or mod color-blocked pillow to their decor. The store's prices are on the affordable side, which makes a splurge on a set of Moroccan tea glasses ($8 each) or a sari-covered picture frame ($14) entirely acceptable. The new soundtrack for your place can be found in the shop's CD section—we're especially fond of the groovy, beat-filled releases by Thievery Corporation.
