Harputs Market

While Harputs Market didn't open until 2004, its adjacent sneaker shop, Harputs, opened in the '70s, making it the oldest of its kind in the States. Lodged in a former theater, dotted with large-scale Ansel Adams prints, and featuring a fur hammock, Harputs Market feels more like an art gallery/clubhouse than a store. But it's packed with things to wear, like carefully constructed shifts from Ann-Sofie Back, Maison Martin Margiela boots, and the house line of simple dresses.
