While Harputs Market didn't open until 2004, its adjacent sneaker shop, Harputs, opened in the '70s, making it the oldest of its kind in the States. Lodged in a former theater, dotted with large-scale Ansel Adams prints, and featuring a fur hammock, Harputs Market feels more like an art gallery/clubhouse than a store.
