The Haight and Clement Street

Lucky's favorite stores in San Francisco's Haight and Clement Street neighborhood!

Amoeba Music

It's one of the country's most beloved indie record stores for good reason. This former bowling alley is filled with more than 100,000 titles, but the shopping experience is not at all overwhelming, as you can always count on staff picks on the best old and new selections.

Behind the Post Office

One of our favorite boutiques in the city, this teeny, slightly rustic shop is filled with pieces that walk the line perfectly: sexy but not too bare, rock-and-roll but high-end. Top picks come from Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent, Ella Moss, Yanuk, and Citizens of Humanity.

Everything for sale at this mini-emporium has a curated vibe, from clothing and accessories to baby gear and beauty items. We love the effortless dresses by Augustine and cozy-sexy pieces by She Bible.

Perfect for home goods and gifts, this shop has an impressive selection of vintage silver from the best hotels and restaurants across the world. Unique curiosities and creative decorative pieces are constantly being added. On our last visit, we fell in love with antique pie plates.

Fragrant with the scent of pine furniture, this shop stocks simple bookcases and chairs that are budget-friendly but made with near-custom quality. They also feature adorable gift ideas such as shell votive holders, stationery, and tasteful kiddie toys. Owner Maybelle is also a calligraphy whiz and will make a custom stamp with your return address ($75).

Villain's Vault

This airy, high-energy spot is a superb source for super-premium jeans. We find the very latest by Paige, Rock & Republic, Diesel, and others before they turn up elsewhere, and have come to count on the outspoken staff for helping us find the most flattering cuts. Also here: a small but amazing selection of funky tops and accessories.
