City Summer Shopping: Paris
1
Fleux
What appears to be a normal-size storefront conceals a space that's actually gigantic—every square inch of wall and counter is covered with forward-thinking home accessories, whether they're plates screened with Marie Antoinette-ish figures or NASA-approved biospheres that hold little shrimp and plankton.

French Trotters
Husband-and-wife team Carole and Clarent Dehlouz—both photographers—travel around the world, scouting for new designers to fill their three-year-old, bilevel space. They stock an excellent range of talents both emerging (Emilie Casiez, Indress, Lemaire) and established (Cabane de Zucca, Les Prairies de Paris, Iro), making this one of the best boutiques in the city.

Isabel Marant
If you asked Lucky staffers to tell you their first post-airport pit stop, it would be Isabel Marant. This is partly because the designer's clothes aren't easy to find in the States (and not sold online), but primarily because she does a slightly exotic spin on interesting—and wearable—silhouettes better than anyone else. Spring's highlights include block-printed jackets and carefully embroidered shifts. She has three shops, but the Marais outpost is our favorite.

The Kooples
Starting last September, the three Elicha brothers (their family owned the Comptoir des Cotonniers clothing chain) launched a whopping 22 boutiques in three months. Each one—down to the signature scent, which wafts into the rooms via small vents near the door—adheres to the same strict aesthetic, which is sort of a mix between military school and rock and roll: waxed straight-leg jeans and epaulet-adorned cardigans.

Les Prairies de Paris
From the street, one would never guess that Laetitia Ivanez's space is actually a store. The all-black main level is full of huge cutouts from the movie Blow-Up—and a handful of shoes. Downstairs, there's a slender, airplane-like corridor where you can find her entire collection of gloriously colored, cleanly cut corduroy bomber jackets and tuxedo pants.
