Assembly New York

Greg Armas, part of the duo that pioneered the fashion-forward store Scout in Los Angeles, moved to New York in 2008 to launch this quietly hip boutique. As the name suggests, the darkly lit, time-worn space takes its cue from pieces that feel like vintage factory wear. Slouchy Endovanera T-shirts, necklaces strung with antique Indian coins, and cocoon tops by Raquel Allegra are all in the mix. 174 Ludlow St. LES 212-253-5393, assemblynewyork.com
