Bloomingdale's SoHo

The six-floor SoHo store has a more youthful, downtown approach than the original uptown Bloomingdale's (see the Upper East Side map). There's a wealth of emerging and small labels, plus lots of shoes and bags from up-and-coming lines.

Built by Wendy

Chicago native Wendy Mullin turns out pieces influenced by iconic American imagery and themes—Mount Rushmore, prep school, or summer camp—and her garments feature simple, flattering cuts and offbeat details.

Calypso St. Barth

Calypso (The first Calypso opened in St. Barths) carries everything from made-in-Italy leather sandals to billowy gauze dresses. The SoHo store is not the largest, but it's our favorite for its uncluttered layout and excellent edit.
