Art Star

Metalsmith Erin Waxman and ceramicist Megan Brewster opened this gallery/store to sell clothing, paintings, and an amusingly esoteric variety of odds and ends by rising local talents. Our favorites: adorable ceramics from Little Flower, graphic totes from Tymbal Art Co., wire cuff bracelets from Erin Waxman, and flowery tanks from Nicole Styer.

Conspiracy Showroom

The brainchild of three locals, this shop offers items from their collections, along with works from some of their talented friends. We like the colorful belts from Ladies Auxiliary Club, retro dresses from The Farmers Daughter, baubles from Typhaney Bennett, and adorned bags from Angela Ricci. You can watch them create goods in the back studio, too.

Delicious Boutique & Corseterie

The spectacular, carnivalesque decor here is beyond cool. Imagine flag pennants draped across the ceiling, Betsey Johnson tulle dresses hanging on a giant target, corsets resting on circus-stripe-painted shelves, and racks of rock tees strung up with the same rope used to secure sideshow tents.

Very Bad Horse

Steven Tyler has been known to stockpile designer Kim Montenegro's skintight jeans, and we understood why: They mold to your body like they're tailor-made, and they instantly endow you with badass sexiness.
