A former designer at Donna Karan and Peter Som, Modi Soondarotok relocated to Portland a couple of years ago to launch her own label, and along the way she opened a boutique. Inside her cozy bungalow in the up-and-coming Northeast District are chic imports from her native Thailand, Jenny Yuen's slick leather satchels, and the colorful house line of hand-loomed cotton sundresses.
