does this outfit work?
Natacha Richard, the subject of December's "Does This Outfit Work?" story, thought her wrap top and wrap skirt combo were a good—but not great—going-out outfit. It took some subtle tweaks to make the ensemble a little more polished and evening-worthy. Here's what we did:
• Swapped her chambray top for a sexy black satin camisole.
• Upgraded from a black leather heel to a sleek metallic stiletto.
"Her flirty skirt became the foundation of the whole look," says fashion news director Jen Ford. "A silky camisole—worn tucked in to highlight the skirt's wrap tie—and the shimmery shoes add some glamour, but aren't overly showy."
Natacha's reaction: "This looks so clean and sophisticated. I think my first outfit was too busy because both pieces had ties. This is so much neater—and the fancier shoes are the perfect finishing touch."
The items we chose:

Snakeprint "Exude," $97.99, Carlos by Carlos Santana, carlosshoes.com
