This recently-relaunched Spanish label is making its NYFW debut for Fall 2013, having previously shown at Madrid Fashion Week. Head designer Josep Font boasts an impressive couture background, and it shows in his thoughtfully embellished, beautifully draped work for the heritage brand (launched in 1974, FYI). Already stocked at high-end e-tailers Moda Operandi and Net-a-Porter, Delpozo's got major promise.
Designed by Hanako Maeda, one of street style photog extraordinaire Tommy Ton's BFFs, this collection previously showed at Tokyo Fashion Week—and is arriving stateside for the first time ever this season. Judging by the slouchy knits and tailored shorts Maeda (ADEAM is her last name in reverse—cool, no?) cooked up last season, we can't wait to see what her NYFW debut brings.
Nina Skarra
She may be a NYFW newbie, but this Norwegian designer has been crafting sustainable ready-to-wear since 2008. She's already a hit with Livia Firth (yep, Colin's wifey), Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway and The Hunger Games' Isabelle Fuhrman—and with pretty, polished cocktail dresses and pantsuits like these, it isn't hard to see why.
ICB by Prabal Gurung
International Concept Brand (ICB) has chosen to show its Prabal-designed collection online via KCD's groundbreaking Digital Fashion Shows platform for several seasons running. We loved what we've seen in the past—kaleidoscopic patterns, textural outerwear and leather statement pieces, all at fairly accessible price points—but this time around, we're thrilled we'll be able to see Prabal's designs for the brand up close when ICB shows in the tents.
Australian designer Kym Ellery made her NYC debut last season, and has been steadily gaining industry buzz ever since. Having studied at the prestigious Central Saint Martins and worked at Aussie glossy Russh, Ellery combines her technical design skills and and editorial know-how into her famously flared, futuristic silhouettes. Her basketball-inspired Spring 2013 collection wowed us, and we can't wait to see what she's dreamt up for fall.
